We hire the finest security guards in the area.  We know who they are because we train them ourselves.  The U.S. Department of Consumer Affairs Bureau of Security and Training Services mandates a 40-hour training course for potential security guards.  We offer it in-house.  This allows us to observe candidates closely and select only the best.  Our training modules include:

• Communication and its Significance
• Liability/Legal Aspects of Security Services Work

Our prospective guards must pass a state-administered test on these topics to become licensed, as well as a drug test and a background check.  While these are necessary basics, there are other, less tangible requirements needed to produce an excellent security officer.  At CWP, we are extremely familiar with the qualities required to excel in this role.  Successful candidates must:

• Value honesty and integrity
• Display a strong work ethic
• Possess the ability and desire to take direction
• Know how to prioritize and respond under pressure

We use our training and interview process to screen for these qualities, and the training process also enables us to discover each guard’s unique strengths and personality type.  For instance, an efficient ‘loner’ might not be the right officer to staff your lobby desk, but that same ‘loner’ might make an excellent night watchman at an office complex.  It is our goal and responsibility is to provide for our clients’ needs by choosing an appropriate guard for each assignment.
