Management TeamShare Randy Rush - President and CEOAs president of California West Patrol, Mr. Rush oversees all day-to-day aspects of the company’s growing client list in Orange County, including operations, account management, marketing, equipment acquisition, and employee training. As the company continues to grow Mr. Rush is placing special focus on customer satisfaction and retention. Mr. Rush became involved with California West Patrol in January of 2006. CWP’s licensed manager and owner passed away and the company needed a manager licensed by the Bureau of Investigative and Security Services to continue operations. BSIS Chief Giorgi agreed that Mr. Rush was qualified and agreed to let him manage the company while he was in the process of becoming licensed. In July of 2006 Mr. Rush became a licensed Private Patrol Operator and purchased the company from the probate court. Mr. Rush has more than 23 years of experience in law enforcement, security, and business. Before joining California West Patrol, he spent 4 years with the United States Marine Corp and 16 years with the Orange County Sheriffs Department. Mr. Rush had many assignments at the sheriff’s department including the TEWG (Terrorist Early Warning Group) and Security Operations at John Wayne Airport. Mr. Rush was assigned to JWA Security Operations during the attacks on 9/11. He helped the airport design and implement a plan that brought the number of officers from 25 to 125 in less then one year. During the course of his duties he worked with high ranking members of the Secret Service, FBI, TSA, JTTF, and Law Enforcement and Security Details from all over the country. Mr. Rush wrote the terrorist threat level alert plan for John Wayne Airport which was later adopted by the Sheriff’s Department for its department wide terrorist threat level procedures. Before joining the Sheriff’s Department Mr. Rush was a Reconnaissance Marine with the 1st Recon Battalion and the 1st Force Reconnaissance Company. He attended numerous schools including Marine Corps Amphibious Reconnaissance School, Army Jump School, Navy Dive School, Explosives training, Nuclear, Biological, and Radiological training. Many of the training missions he completed involved infiltration, surveillance, and analysis of potential targets. The targets included hardened facilities, soft facilities, bridges, buildings, and other structures. He obtained a secret security clearance and participated in several real world reconnaissance missions in Central America. Mr. Rush is also the owner of Mission Properties a successful real estate acquisition and Management Company specializing in the purchase and management of office and apartment buildings in the inland empire. Mr. Rush holds an Advanced POST Certificate from the Police Officers Standards and Training and a Masters Degree in Criminal Justice. Randy was elected to the Board of Directors for the California Association of Licensed Security Agencies (CALSAGA), and serves as the Director for Region VI, Orange County in 2009. Bill Hunt - Vice President of California West Patrol As Vice President of California West Patrol, Bill is responsible for business development and management of the company’s professional operating policies and procedures. As the company continues to grow Bill is placing special focus on customer satisfaction and retention. Bill Hunt has more than 25 years of law enforcement and security experience. He served as a Military Policeman in the US Army working as a patrolman and in various security assignments including base security in Augsburg, Germany and Redstone Arsenal, Alabama. At Redstone Arsenal Bill was assigned to an Emergency Response Team responsible for the security of the deadly nerve agents stored on the base. After Bill’s service in the Army, he returned to his home state of Massachusetts and worked as a security guard for California Plant Protection. His assignments included providing hospital security and security for a major manufacturing facility in the city of Worcester, Massachusetts. During that time Bill also served as an Auxiliary Police officer in the town of New Braintree, Massachusetts. In June of 1984, Bill moved to California and continued work in the security field as a doorman for Black Angus Restaurants, the Victoria Station at Universal City and for Stanley’s, an upscale restaurant / bar in the city of Woodland Hills. Bill joined the Orange County Sheriff Department in July of 1985, rising through the ranks and obtaining a diverse background within the department's divisions including, jails, patrol, investigations, training, narcotics, gang enforcement and SWAT, supervision and management. Bill has 7 ½ years of security experience in the maximum security Orange County Jails as a deputy, supervisor and manager. Bill has extensive experience in special events security having worked and supervised Sheriff’s Department personnel providing security for numerous events including the Persian Festival in the City of Irvine, the Huntington Beach Fourth of July celebration and the Orange County Fair. Bill served as Chief of Police for the city of San Clemente where he managed a department budget of more than $9 million that included patrol, traffic, parking enforcement, investigations and records. He was also responsible for the Tri-Cities Directed Enforcement Team that specialized in career criminal, youth violence, and street gang suppression in Dana Point, San Juan Capistrano, and San Clemente. As San Clemente’s Police Chief Bill was instrumental in the city’s partnering with private security for parking enforcement, street sweeping citations and security to address specific problem areas and special events in the city. Bill has extensive experience managing security operations for large scale special events such as the city of San Clemente’s annual Fourth of July Celebration, Fiesta Street Fair, Ocean Festival and Car Show.
